General description of the Villa

Torre Rossa is a three-story Villa of approximately 400 square meters that comfortably accommodates 8 guests. The Villa once got its name from the majestic 30-meter tower that is connected to the house and which culminates in a large open-space terrace offering spectacular 360-degree views.

The property

The property stretches across four terraced layers of grounds with the Villa on the top, accompanied by a 100 square meter tiled terrace. The second terrace area extends from the ground floor of the Villa and exhibits lemon trees overlooking the pool area on the terrace below. The outer terrace area displays a flower and vegetable garden, beyond which the extensive olive grove belonging to the property can be seen. There are over 500 olive trees and we produce our own olive oil, which can of course be enjoyed while staying with us.

The ground floor

The ground floor includes a spacious family room/gym and gives access to the lemon tree terrace. The gym/family room is equipped with:
- Treadmill
- Cross trainer
- Rowing machine
- Weight training equipment

The first floor

The first floor consists of a series of open rooms with large windows overlooking the garden and has been designed to create a feeling of elegant country living. Description:
- A magnificent entryway with painting and sculptures
- An elegant living room/dining room with antique wood-burning fireplace
- A bedroom with it's own terrace overlooking the extensive gardens and the Tuscan hills
- A separate marble bathroom with toilet and shower
- A modern, fully equipped, top-of-the-line kitchen with rustic character including an authentic pizza oven and wood-burning fireplace. The kitchen is connected to a large pantry and opens on one end into the 100 square meter terrace
- A utility room with washing machine and a second refrigerator

The second floor

The second floor is situated around a large, open hallway and consists of three well-sized bedrooms, two full-scaled bathrooms and a library. All bedrooms as well as the library are equipped with air conditioning. Description:
- Master bedroom with marble bathroom, toilet, shower and jacuzzi-tub
- 2 double bedrooms, with large wardrobes
- Common Greek-inspired bathroom with tiles and mosaic and toilet, shower and bathtub.
- Library containing hundreds of books on art and history, novels etc.

The tower

Unique terrace offering fantastic views of Florence, including il Duomo and most of the important monuments. The view of the countryside itself is breathtaking, as if taken from an old renaissance painting.

Outside and outdoor facilities

Villa Torra Rossa has 20.000 square meters of land which is surrounded by fencing and an electronically operated entrance gate.

The terrace

As you step out onto the 100 square meter terrace, you step into the glory of the Tuscan landscape. The view is breathtaking and the facilities include an elegant gazebo, offering a shaded area ideal for outdoor meals.

The pool

The terrace overlooks the poolside area and the private swimming pool. The pool offers a fantastic experience to every swimmer; as you look over the olive groves and the surrounding landscape - it feels as if you are swimming in plain air. During the warm summer evenings you can enjoy breath-taking sunsets from the pool area.

- Housekeeping 4 hours per day (Mon-Saturday). Note that the housekeeper lives in a separate residence located on the premises.

Additional activities

Picnics

During the days or late afternoons, there are plenty of spots where you can enjoy picnics in our private olive grove.

Hiking/Biking

Are you a biker or a hiker? There are numerous trails in the surrounding hillsides, that can be enjoyed on foot or on wheels.

Wine-tasting

The nearby prize-winning vineyard, Le Sorgenti, can offer wine tasting. This is done (on special request and) by making reservations.

Useful information

- Bus services are available just outside the villa
- Car rentals are easy to arrange at the airport
- Local wine and olive oil can be purchased at a local vineyard
- Torre Rossa provides a booklet containing a wide variety of useful information such as shopping, restaurants etc

Availability

- From mid June-mid September
- Villa Torre Rossa is rented on a weekly basis starting on Saturdays
- Extra days may be available in conjunction with your renting period. Please inquire!
- Access time is at 6-8 p.m. Saturday - departure at 11am. the following Saturday

- Discounts on additional weeks to be established with owner
- Deposit of 500 Euros security required on booking
